Nyasha Zimucha is a Recording Artist, Dancer, US TV Personality, former beauty queen and Entrepreneur who started life in South Africa yet grew up in America. Her teen beginnings in Hollywood were as a professional backup dancer/b-girl to acts like Diddy, the NFL and on MTV Europe.

After college, years of dancing and being a spokes model for brands like Boost Mobile, Nonde Luxe Swimwear, and Motives Cosmetics, she decided to break into television when WEtv asked her to be a judge on the tv series ‘Little Miss Perfect’ for two seasons. Her quick one-liners got her noticed by millions of viewers and on several national talk shows like Jimmy Kimmel Live, and The Soup on E! While working on the show she worked as a beauty consultant/stylist for Donald Trump’s Miss Universe organization in Miami.

In 2009 she won the title of Miss Africa USA as a beauty ambassador to the entire continent of Africa in the US. During her reign she did over 200 appearances including the Super bowl, building homes with Habitat for Humanity, was featured on BBC World, President Obama’s Inauguration, and was a celeb spokesperson for Russell Simmon’s ‘Diamond Empowerment Fund’ along with Kim Kardashian. She’s appeared in magazines like J’Dore and Us Weekly, along with being dressed personally by fashion legend Jean Paul Gaultier.

In 2010 she was named “One of the Top Ten Visionaries of the year” by New York based African Mag — list included Alicia Keys, Tyler Perry, and Dambisa Moyo. In 2011 MTV Networks asked her to join the docu-series “The A-List New York” where she showcased the tough task of juggling running her business along with recording her first single and music video “Rise Up” to over 4 million viewers.

In addition to her entertainment career, Nyasha has always maintained a
7 year passion for business and being creative. She’s the Founder/CEO of Embrace Your Hair – a hair accessories fashion brand that is sold in 30 stores in the US and around the World. Her products have also been featured on the runways of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week for 4 years, where she worked with designers like Richie Rich and Mara Hoffman creating stylish runway hair looks on one of the biggest runways in fashion.

Now a contributor to US Weekly magazine’s “Fashion Police” and on celebrity news stories, her broad professional, social and travel experiences influence her knowledge in global pop culture, fashion and music. When asked about her future goals she answered, “Everything I do is in hopes to inspire people — my music, my company and my work on global issues. I love connecting the worlds I work in and seek to make an impact.
